The chestnut vine, Tetrastigma voinierianum, is a tropical evergreen climber that is both a conservatory and house plant. The chestnut vine is native to the rainforests of Vietnam and Laos.
Tetrastigma voinierianum has large, glossy leaves and can bloom tiny greenish flowers in summer.
This rapid climber, rambunctious and vigorous vine may need to be pruned to fit the indoor space. They can tolerate a wide range of indoor conditions and even survive cooler temperatures. But when they are grown outdoors, they are often used as a ground cover, a situation for which they are perfectly suited.
