Crassula ovata ‘Gollum’ is an unusual succulent with tubular-shaped leaves. These evergreen succulents’ leaves curl in upon themselves with tips that turn red in direct sun. Gollum Jade, which is named after the character from the “Lord of the Rings” book, looks like a small tree.
Its branches become thick with age. Crassula Ovata is native to South Africa and Mozambique. They grow as houseplants in cooler regions but also can be grown outdoors.
It may produce small pink or white flowers in winter.
