The Sansevieria Trifasciata Metallica is a rare breed amongst its relatives. This specific species has contoured with silvery stripes and a fine rust trim triumph towards the light. As the name suggests their tough leaves have silvery metallic colour.

Sansevieria Metallica has many names, two of the most popular are Snake Plant and Mother-in-law’s tongue. It is a slow-grower, typically reaches an ultimate height of 30 cm to 1.2 metres and is a low-maintenance plant like other snake plants. It can live in any light conditions and doesn’t care if you forget to water it. This nearly unkillable plant is perfect for beginners.

In addition, it’s one of the best air-purifying plants. When the temperature cools at night, its pores open releasing all the oxygen it’s been holding in. Therefore it’s the perfect plant for you to have in your bedroom. Regularly removing dust on leaves will maximise its air-purifying powers.

Light: This Snake is happy in a full sun to partial shade area but best in bright, indirect light.
Temperature: Prefers average to warm household temperatures from 18-28°C and can handle as low as 10°C for short periods. Avoid cold draughts.
Water: Allow the soil to dry out completely before watering. This plant is drought tolerant.
Humidity: Will do fine in normal home humidity, but thrives in more humid environments. Mist your plant occasionally for best results.
