Asparagus Setaceus , commonly known as Lace Fern, Common Asparagus Fern, or Climbing Asparagus, is an exquisite and elegant climbing plant that adds a touch of sophistication to any indoor space. Although it is called a fern, it is actually a member of the lily family, and features long, wiry stems with delicate frond-like sprays that spread out horizontally.

Initially, this lush and bushy plant develops long, twisting stems with bright green, feathery fronds. In late summer, tiny green-white bell-shaped flowers appear, which later develop into small, purple berries. It is worth noting that Asparagus Setaceus may grow thorns, so handle with care.

Fast-growing and able to reach a height of 2.5m if left unpruned, Asparagus Setaceus is an ideal choice for adding a touch of greenery to your home or office. Whether you want a statement plant to climb up a trellis or a beautiful hanging plant to add vibrancy to a room, Asparagus Setaceus is a fantastic option that will not disappoint.

Lucky bamboo is a perfect option if you’re looking for a Feng Shui compatible plant. According to the Chinese practice, lucky bamboo is related to the five elements: Earth (pebbles in the container), wood (the plant itself), water (the water in the container), fire (the red ribbon often tied on the plant) and metal (the metal coin attached to the ribbon). Since the bamboo is hollow it’s said to be a great conductor of Chi energy. This allows wisdom and prosperity to flow through. The amount of stalks also has a big effect on the meaning of a particular lucky bamboo plant.

Lucky bamboo (Dracaena Sanderiana) is surprisingly not actually bamboo as its scientific name suggests: It’s part of the Dracaena genus. The lucky bamboo plant is from Southeast Asia and is well-known for its use in Feng Shui for over 5,000 years. In these practices, it is said to represent good luck and happiness, making it an ideal and popular gift in business and personal matters. Another factor that makes lucky bamboo so popular is its ability to be trained into shapes like a swirl, heart, braid and other designs. See the sections below for a more in-depth look at the symbolism of lucky bamboo and how to create different bamboo designs.

The Hoya Kerrii is such a sweetheart of a plant that it has multiple common names. You may know it as Sweetheart Hoya, Hoya Hearts, Valentine Hoya, Heart-Shaped Hoya, Wax Heart Plant, Love Heart Plant or Lucky Hearts Plant. Wow, that’s a lot of names for 1 plant! This succulent vine is a beauty and I want to share with you what I’ve learned about caring for and growing a Sweetheart Hoya as a houseplant.

Hoya Kerrii is one of the most sought after plants in the plant community right now after the pilea peperomioides craze. You can probably find a single leaf hoya kerrii easily at your local plant stores but don’t be fooled by those! Single leaf cuttings are cute and what not, but it’ll take a whole world of patience and love before it decides to grow into a whole plant (*assuming it has a tiny bit of the main stem on it*). So I’d say, 90% of the time, your single leaf will only live a long and happy life alone.

Pot Size: 6 cm
Height: 13 cm

Hoya Kerrii Care
Light: Bright indirect light is best, also important to give them darkness at night.
Temperature: Prefers average room temperatures, ideal: between 18-27°C.
Water: Water thoroughly spring through fall, allowing potting mix to dry out a bit between waterings. This succulent won’t tolerate soggy soil.
Humidity: Will do fine in normal home humidity, mist your plant occasionally for best results.
Fertilizer: Feed monthly spring through fall with a water-soluble fertilizer specially made for succulents, diluted by half.
Height & Growth Rate: Reaches an ultimate height of around 50 cm.
Toxicity: Non-toxic. Child & Pet Friendly.
