Asparagus Setaceus , commonly known as Lace Fern, Common Asparagus Fern, or Climbing Asparagus, is an exquisite and elegant climbing plant that adds a touch of sophistication to any indoor space. Although it is called a fern, it is actually a member of the lily family, and features long, wiry stems with delicate frond-like sprays that spread out horizontally.

Initially, this lush and bushy plant develops long, twisting stems with bright green, feathery fronds. In late summer, tiny green-white bell-shaped flowers appear, which later develop into small, purple berries. It is worth noting that Asparagus Setaceus may grow thorns, so handle with care.

Fast-growing and able to reach a height of 2.5m if left unpruned, Asparagus Setaceus is an ideal choice for adding a touch of greenery to your home or office.

The Raindrop Peperomia, scientifically known as peperomia polybotrya, is an easy-to-care-for, charming houseplant known for its fat, thick, shiny leaves that look like a raindrop rolling down your window, something I am fond of in Seattle. Not only are the leaves shaped like a water droplet, they are designed to store water, hence their thickness. This plant is also know as coin plant or coin-leaf peperomia and is commonly mistaken for the popular Chinese Money Plant (pilea peperomia).

Native to South America’s tropical regions, this plant grows on the jungle floor and therefore likes similar house conditions: bright filtered light, and moderate temperatures with high humidity.

The foliage grows up from the base then tumbles from the sides as the plant matures.

Humata tyermannii is a native of Fiji and likes a warm, humid atmosphere, but nothing too hot. Think shower room or warm kitchen in a bright spot but away from the direct sun. Think of it hiding on the forest floor!
