This cool cactus embodies the serene arid landscapes and setting suns of South America and Africa. Succulent green, triangular trunks reach for the sky, casting scalloped shadows in the sunlight. A huddle of secondary branches cling to the waist of the main stem, displaying a geometric margin which form rippled furrows along the cactus' surface. This easy-care succulent will tolerate most environments, making it perfect for beginners.

Please note: The skin of Euphorbia ingens can scratch, but their resilient nature allows them to scar over swiftly, enhancing its rugged charm.

The Hoya Kerrii is such a sweetheart of a plant that it has multiple common names. You may know it as Sweetheart Hoya, Hoya Hearts, Valentine Hoya, Heart-Shaped Hoya, Wax Heart Plant, Love Heart Plant or Lucky Hearts Plant. Wow, that’s a lot of names for 1 plant! This succulent vine is a beauty and I want to share with you what I’ve learned about caring for and growing a Sweetheart Hoya as a houseplant.

Hoya Kerrii is one of the most sought after plants in the plant community right now after the pilea peperomioides craze. You can probably find a single leaf hoya kerrii easily at your local plant stores but don’t be fooled by those! Single leaf cuttings are cute and what not, but it’ll take a whole world of patience and love before it decides to grow into a whole plant (*assuming it has a tiny bit of the main stem on it*). So I’d say, 90% of the time, your single leaf will only live a long and happy life alone.

Pot Size: 6 cm
Height: 13 cm

Hoya Kerrii Care
Light: Bright indirect light is best, also important to give them darkness at night.
Temperature: Prefers average room temperatures, ideal: between 18-27°C.
Water: Water thoroughly spring through fall, allowing potting mix to dry out a bit between waterings. This succulent won’t tolerate soggy soil.
Humidity: Will do fine in normal home humidity, mist your plant occasionally for best results.
Fertilizer: Feed monthly spring through fall with a water-soluble fertilizer specially made for succulents, diluted by half.
Height & Growth Rate: Reaches an ultimate height of around 50 cm.
Toxicity: Non-toxic. Child & Pet Friendly.

Burro’s tail, or sedum morganianum, is one of the most adorable potted succulents to take on the houseplant world. Also called donkey’s tail (burro means donkey in Spanish), burro’s tail is a trailing sedum native to southern Mexico.

Each trailing stem is covered in small succulent leaves, which is part of what makes the plant so attractive. But even the slightest brush against it can send all those baby leaves flying onto the ground, which is just one of the reasons this plant isn’t the best fit for beginner plant parents.

The Donkey Tail Care
Humidity: Donkey’s Tail are adapted to dry arid conditions so there is no need to increase humidity in a standard home or office.
Fertilizer: Once every two months or so during the growing seasons will be enough to keep your Donkey’s Tail healthy and thriving.
Height & Growth Rate: Grow slow and steady but can reach trailing lengths of up to 120cm long in six years’ time.
Air purifying: Yes
Toxicity: Mildly toxic if ingested. Keep away from children & animals.
